Carl Wasickanin, age 92, of Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his home.

Born January 21, 1931 in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late George Wasickanin and Evelyn Fedak Wasickanin. Carl was a graduate of Larksville High School and was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was employed by the Liberty Throwing Company.

In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing with his son and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Viti; and brother, George Wasickanin.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Catherine Zukowski; son, Mark Wasickanin, of Hanover Twp.; grandchildren, Mark, Chad, Chrissy, Kelly, Jill, Corey and Timothy; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, January 22, from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth, followed by Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. in S.S. Peter & Paul U.C. Church, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth.
