Josephine E. Carpenter, age 96, of Plymouth, passed away on February 3, 2024 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

Born February 9, 1927 in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Carpenter and Mary Kratz Carpenter. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1945. Josephine was a member of Cherry Street Bible Church, Plymouth.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by FW Woolworth, Wilkes Barre, as a personnel manager for many years. Prior to that, she had been employed by Leo Matus' Newstand, Plymouth

She is survived by her cousins, Kris Williams, Janis Kalkun and Gary Kratz; many dear cousins; and extended family members.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 17, at 10 a.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth. Private interment will take place in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 17, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
