Michael A. Stoffick, age 74, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Allied Meade Street Hospice, Wilkes Barre.

Born July 13, 1949 in Larksville, he was the son of Michael Stoffick and Cecilia Lech Stoffick. He was a graduate of Larksville High School and West Side Area Vocational Technical School. Michael was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.

He was a veteran serving with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot. Prior to that, he was employed at Roth American and St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville, as a custodian. He had also worked for many years as a carpenter.

Michael was an avid sports fan and had enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and tending to his vegetable garden.

He dearly loved his pet dog, Snowball, and cat, Missy. He could often be found taking care of the stray animals in his neighborhood.

Surviving are his loving wife, of 48 years, the former Veronica Czuba; brother, Ronald Stoffick; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
