Kenneth J. Casey, age 94, of Archbald, passed into the Hands of the Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Born April 18, 1929, in Archbald, he was the son of the late Edward Casey and Lauretta (Laura) Wright Casey.

Ken was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Ambrose Revels American Legion Post 328, Archbald. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by General Dynamics, Eynon, as an electrician, for many years.

Ken was a devoted and faithful member of Christ the King Parish/St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. He was always available to lend a helping hand to family and friends.

He was clever and always ready to share the knowledge he gained through all of his many life experiences. Ken’s family was very important to him and he was extremely proud of them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary E. Piatt; daughter, Kathleen Casey; brothers, Dr. Donald Casey and Edward Casey; and sister, Loretta O’Neill Hyland.

Surviving are his sons, Ken Casey (Donna), of Plymouth Twp.; and James Casey (Brenda), of Jefferson Twp.; son-in-law, Dr. Jerome Casey, of Eynon; grandchildren, Ann Marie Casey (Jonathan Quagliarello), Sharleen Kishbaugh (Jeremy), Kellie Cavanaugh (Matt), Sean Casey, Kolleen Casey, Laura Pluchinsky (Aaron), Sloane Casey, Carolyn (Carly) Casey and Mariah Casey; great-grandchildren, Serena and Harley Quagliarello, Gemma, Jax, Von and Kaz Kishbaugh, Finn, Rhett, Beau and Briar Belle Cavanaugh, and Lilly, Adaline and Amelia Pluchinsky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to meet for Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Mass will be celebrated by Kenneth’s nephew, Rev. Edward Casey. Interment will be in the Jermyn Cemetery.

Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time at Christ the King Parish, Archbald.

Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.

Ken’s family would especially like to thank Dr. Linda Thomas-Hemak, her nurse, Raelyn, and the staff at the Wright Center, Jermyn, and the St. Mary’s Villa Skilled Nursing Center and Assisted Living Center, Elmhurst, for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, contributions if desired, may be made in Ken’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A kind man, Ken will be remembered for his devotion to his faith, and his love for his family and dear friends.
