William Rasmovicz, age 83, of Plymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at his home.
Born September 10, 1941 in Larksville, he was the son of the late Walter Rasmovicz and Emma Sufleta Rasmovicz. William was a graduate of Larksville High School and a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Glen Carbonic Gas Company, Larksville.
William had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing both locally and on trips to Ontario, Canada. He also found great enjoyment in golfing and nurturing his vegetable gardens, where he spent many peaceful hours. At home, he shared a special bond with his beloved dogs, Miles and Duke, whose companionship brought him constant comfort and joy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; brothers, Walter, Robert, Adolph, Edward and Joseph Rasmovicz; and sisters, Victoria Doman, Bertha Brogan and Alice Sheridan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, the former Lucia Zafia; loving children, Sharon Borsavage and her husband, John, of Plymouth, and William (Bill) Rasmovicz and his wife, Kelley Erickson, of Portland, Maine; grandchildren, Briana Borsavage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 6:45 p.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth. Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired may be made in William’s memory to the Luzerne County SPCA.
