Lorraine V. Piotrowski, age 84, of Nanticoke, passed into the hands of the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Her sons, Tony and Ken, were by her side.

Born September 9 1940, in Lynnwood Section of Hanover Twp., she was the daughter of the late Leonard Pomicter and Mary Bankos Pomicter. Lorraine was graduate of Marymount High School, Wilkes Barre, and a graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital for 20 years and prior to that at the Mercy Hospital for over 20 years.

In past years, she had been a member of the St. Mary’s BVM Parochial School PTA, Plymouth. She had been involved with the Plymouth Women’s Softball Team for many years as a centerfielder.

She loved gardening, was an avid reader and loved to crochet. She was especially fond of her beloved pet Bichon dog.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Piotrowski, who passed away December, 2020; and her sister, Carole Maczuga and husband, Bob (Robert) Maczuga.

Surviving are her loving sons, Anthony J. Piotrowski, of Nanticoke, and Kenneth J. Piotrowski, of Norristown; sister, Maryann Lenio (Joseph), Flemmington, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will beheld at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.

In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired may be made in Lorraine’s memory to Blue Chip Farm Animal Rescue or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The family would also like to thank Griswald and their special women, Heidi, Joan, and Norma for the help and care over the last few years.
