Martin J. Kasper Jr., age 83, of Wilkes Barre passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at his home.

Born March 13, 1942 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Martin Kasper Sr. and Mary Bogi Kasper. He was a graduate of St. Vincent’s High School, Plymouth, and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Kingston.

Marty had a lifelong love of sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Bears. Marty loved spending time at the shore, especially in North Wildwood, where he made countless memories with family and friends. He had a passion for music, loved to dance, and never passed up a slice of cake or a good hug — especially during family gatherings.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Kasper, Joseph Kasper and Anthony Kasper.

He has survived by his loving wife of 40 years, the former Pamela Jones; son, Donald Jones, of Wilkes-Barre; 3 daughters; 5 grandchildren; sister, Maryann Emerick, of Florida; sisters-in-law, Donna Javick, of Wilkes Barre, Carol Kasper, Kingston, and Joann Olson, of Bear Creek; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at The S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.
