Stanley A. Shevock Jr., age 69, of Hanover Twp. passed into the Hands of The Lord surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital.
Born May 30, 1956 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Stanley Shevock and Marie Oshinski Shevock. Stan was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1974, and Ryder Technical School, Allentown. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.
Prior to his retirement, Stan had been employed by Adelphia/Comcast as a cable technician for many years.
Stan was a passionate sports fan who faithfully followed the Philadelphia Phillies, Penn State Football, and Duke Basketball. He had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and found great joy in walking his beloved pets through the Liberty Hills neighborhood. Over the years, he became known for his fondness not only for his own dogs but for all the neighborhood dogs he encountered and he shared a special bond with his granddog, Henry.
Stan had a warm and generous spirit, always quick to offer kindness and compassion to others. He was deeply devoted to caring for those around him, particularly the elderly, and gave freely of his time. He found joy in simple pleasures—Sunday morning coffees and Thursday evening dinners with his close circle of friends, which brought him great happiness. Stan will be remembered for his gentle nature, his generosity, and the love he showed to both people and animals alike.
Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, the former Carol Sabecky; daughter, Brittany Domaleski and her husband, Mike, of Kulpmont; sister, Barbara DiGiovanni and her husband, Dr. Vincent DiGiovanni, of Ocala, Fl; niece, Maria Sharp and her husband, Jack Sharp, of Sarasota, Fl; and great nephews, Vincent and Lucas Sharp.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 9 a.m. until mass time at All Saints Parish.
Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
