Robert (Butch) Gordon Doman, 76, of Larksville passed away following a valiant battle with brain cancer on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.
Born to Robert and Victoria Rasmovicz, Butch graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in 1967 and subsequently joined the United States Army. He selflessly served his country during his deployments to Vietnam and Germany between 1967-1970.
After returning home Butch worked mostly in hospitality from opening a bar, the Liquid Centre; partnering with his brothers-in-law starting Pizza II East; bartending at Jerry Bonner's Carriage Stop Inn and spending many years owning and operating Classic Pizza with his wife, Renee. Currently, Butch was spending his retirement with his family and beautiful grandkids after 15 years working at the PA Liquor Control Board.
Butch enjoyed many hobbies over the years which included dart leagues, hunting with his father and son, and playing softball until the age of 72. Butch loved a good beach, a good drink, and good music with his loved ones.
Those who knew “Butchie” knew him as a dedicated son, husband, father and grandfather who was extremely kind, loving and hardworking. He prioritized honoring his father and taking care of his mother until her time to join her loving husband. Butch always put his wife and kids above all and took great pride and joy in helping raise his grandchildren; Daniel, age 4, and Emma, age 1, Pellegrini.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Doman; his mother, Victoria Doman (Rasmovicz) and his sister; Linda Lazarowicz.
He will be forever missed by his wife of 47 years, Renee Doman (Washinski); son, Robert; daughters Dory Lynn and Carianne Pellegrini; son in-law, Daniel Pellegrini along with his grandchildren, Daniel Robert and Emma Quinn. He is also survived by his sisters; Diane Marrapodi (Pat), Karen Tondrick (Joseph), and brother; George & spouse.
Funeral will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. Interment and military honors will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
