Raymond Radomski, 85, of Jackson Township passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025. Ray, as he was known to all, was born in Nanticoke, attended John S. Fine High School and then Penn State University, earning multiple degrees in Civil Engineering. Ray was an accomplished practicing civil engineer over a lengthy career for PennDOT.
He was married for 51 years to his beloved Rosemary, who preceded him in death in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents Clem and Dorothy and his sister Dottie (Kotch).
Ray was an engineer’s engineer and had a passion for concrete and design of bridges and roadways. Some of his most noteworthy design work was when he was involved with rebuilding the infrastructure of the Wyoming Valley after the flooding of 1972. He held various roles in management at PennDOT and following his retirement, also worked as a consultant for several years. Ray enjoyed freshwater and deep-sea fishing, reading, cooking and DIY projects. He was a lifelong learner and even in his final years, he kept his mind active with voracious reading and learning new languages.
Ray is survived by his son David of Oakton, Virginia, and the lights of his life, his grandsons Connor, Chase and Michael. Ray will be remembered for his generosity, his limitless patience, his passion for learning, and his sweet demeanor, but mostly for being a loving husband, father and grandfather.
