Thomas L. Tinner, age 78, of Plymouth, passed away on January 4, 2026 at the Veterans Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, to be reunited with his beloved wife, Sandra.

Born January 29, 1947 in Lee Park Section of Hanover Twp., he was the son of the late Llewellyn Tinner and Mary Hummer Tinner. Thomas was a graduate of Hanover High School and a member of All Saints Parish of Plymouth.

He was a United States Army veteran serving for 43 years in both active duty and reservist status, and retiring as a First Sergeant. He received numerous accomadations, medals and awards throughout his military career.

Thomas enjoyed traveling with his family. He especially loved his many trips to Florida with his wife, Sandra, and his grandson, Jordan, who he adored spending time with.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Tinner, and his brother, John J. Tinner Sr.

Surviving are his loving daughter, Colleen Zupko and her husband, Jeff, of Plymouth; grandson, Jordan Thomas Bruno, of Plymouth; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and military services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth. Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.

Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
