Barbara Antonacci, age 86, of Plymouth passed into the Hands of the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2026, at her home.
Born October 2, 1939 in Larksville, she was the daughter of the late John Yacaginsky and Rose Butsick Yacaginsky. Barbara was a graduate of Larksville High School and she received her degree in nursing from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and Mercy Hospital Nursing School at Geisinger Hospital. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
Prior to the retirement, Barbara had been employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Wilkes Barre and at the Mercy Hospital, Wilkes Barre, as a registered nurse for many years. She also worked in local physician’s offices and cared for hospice patients. Barbara loved to volunteer her time especially at the Catherine McAuley House in Plymouth.
She is survived by her loving sons, Joseph Antonacci and his wife, Marie, of Dupont, and Michael Antonacci and his wife, Lyn, of West Nanticoke; and granddaughters, Antoinette Antonacci (Matt Lucas), of Pittsburgh, Alexandria Antonacci, of Pittsburgh and Angelina Antonacci, of Exeter. Barbara was a dear friend of Bill W.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family followed by entombment in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hanover Twp.
