Janice Helen Hartman, age 80, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born November 25, 1945 in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hudzik and Josephine Zola Hudzik, of Plymouth, PA. Janice was raised in NJ, and was a graduate of Irvington High School, Class of 1964, and was later employed by Bell Telephone Company in Newark, NJ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hartman, who passed away in 1978.

Janice loved all kinds of music, and was a big fan of Elvis, rock and roll, abs Polka music. She loved to dance. Janice enjoyed celebrating special events with her family. She took with her a wealth of family information, such as the dates of birthdays, anniversaries, anything you wanted to know, "just ask Janie, she'll know". She will be missed greatly.

Surviving are her brother, Michael J. Hudzik (Judith A.), of Hopatcong, NJ; sister, Sally Ann Novak (Joel), Clifford Twp, PA; nieces and nephews, Jason Hudzik (Erin), Jennifer Sink (Jason), Katie Brownell (James), Julie Tompkins and Robert Novak; and numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. In St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery Chapel, Plymouth Twp.
