Robert L. Bowman, age 89, of Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Edenbrook Hampton House, Hanover Twp.

Born January 31,1937 in Renovo, he was the son of the late Robert A. Bowman and Anna Burton Rhone.  Robert was a graduate of Nanticoke High School in 1955, and a veteran serving with the United States Air Force. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. 

Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Proctor and Gamble and he was previously employed with Boeing Aircraft.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed hunting at the family cabin in Bradford County as well as many fishing trips with friends. He was also a jack of all trades and was always drafting, planning or tinkering. 

His hobbies also included building and flying model airplanes, and spending time with his family. 

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Maryanne Silinski; daughters, Brenda Bowman, of N.C. and Barbara A. Meriesky and her husband, John, of Plymouth; grandchildren, Megan Foy and Robby Meriesky, brother, Eugene Bowman, of Tennessee; and sister, Donna Bowman, of Delaware. 

Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp. 

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth.
