Imelda A. Gardzalla, age 73, of Larksville, passed away Thursday, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 17, 1938 in Larksville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Bogdon Bowman.

Imelda was a graduate of Larksville High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church of Larksville and had been very active with church functions over the years.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the Burlington Coat Factory, Wilkes Barre.

She loved spending time with her family and greatly adored her grandchildren. Imelda and her husband, John, spent many hours fishing in Vosburg, Pa. The holidays were very special to her and baking was her specialty.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Albert and Charles Bowman and sisters, Rita Chukinas and Catherine Bowman.

Surviving are her husband, of 53 years, John J. Gardzalla; children, Jay of Wapwallopen , Carl of White Haven, Coleen Manning and her husband, Gene of Larskville, Rick of Denver Colorado and Paula Brennan and her husband, Patrick of Inkerman; grandchildren, Rachael, Hannah and Benjamin Gardzalla, Joseph and Justin Grocki, Lauren Buckler, Danielle Springer, Michael, Amanda and Brandon Manning, Mitchell and Aaron Gardzalla and Chloe Brennan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 10:30 in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. Interment will be Tuesday morning at 10:30 at St. Stephen's Chapel, Lehman.

Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at the S.J.Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth.
