Michael A. Mazur, age 71, of Wilkes Barre, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012. Born February 25, 1940 in Larksville, he was the son of the late Frank Mazur and Josephine Mickolichick Mazur Kopko.

He was a 1957 graduate of Larksville H.S. and was employed by various shoe and coat factories across the area.

Throughout his life, Mike greatly enjoyed fishing and listening to Elvis. He was an avid sports fan, especially watching the 76ers and the Phillies. Mike spent a lot of his time with his friends at Stan’s Café in Wilkes Barre.

Preceded by brother, Ronald Mazur and longtime companion, Sue Callahan.

Surviving are brother, Tony Kopko and wife, Jane of White Haven; sister, Maureen Kopko of Philadelphia; nieces; nephews.

Funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:00 from the S.J.Grontkowski F.H., Plymouth, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
