Richard P. Rinkevich
Saturday, March 28, 2015
Richard,
In this hectic, hurried, neon world around us... our love is the only thing that makes any sense.
Love Always,
Anne

Another great man, Richard P. Rinkevich, ascended into Heaven on Saturday morning, March 28, 2015. Richard was the most loving and caring husband to his high school sweetheart, Anne Subsak Rinkevich. Richard and Anne would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 26, 2015, after spending 45 loving and enjoyable years together.

Richard was the proud father of two sons, Brian and Neil. He welcomed all of his sons friends as if they were his own. He loved being involved with his boys in every aspect of their lives. He coached them in mini-football, filmed their high school football games, built props for their legendary Rinkevich Halloween House Display, and many other countless woodworking projects.

He was a loving son to Helen M. Benczkowski Rinkevich, of Hanover Township, and the late Frank M. Rinkevich, who passed away in 1995.

Richard was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, Class of 1973. He then entered the United States Air Force, where he served for 4 years, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Upon his return from service, he then graduated from King’s College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

He had been employed by the Nabisco Company, for over two decades, and was presently employed at Northrop Grumman, Wilkes Barre. He was a computer systems analyst by day, and a master carpenter at night.

In addition to his father, Frank M. Rinkevich, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, John.

Surviving are his loving wife, Anne Rinkevich; sons, Brian Rinkevich and his wife, Erin, of Hunlock Creek, and Neil Rinkevich, at home; his loving mother, Helen M. Rinkevich, of Hanover Township; brothers and sister, Frank D. Rinkevich and his wife, Jane, of Hanover Township, Carl G. Rinkevich and his wife, Patricia, of Jacobus, Pa., Eileen Taggart and her husband, Dwayne, of Hanover Township, and Michael J. Rinkevich and his wife, Kirsten, of Erie, Pa. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, coworker, and friend. There are no words to express how much he will be missed by his family and friends. There is nothing in the world that can replace his presence in the hearts of those who love him.

Dad,
We love you and miss you more than you will ever know.
Love,
Brian and Neil
