Lela (Goss) Sims, age 88, of Edwardsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Wilkes Barre. Born May 30, 1927 in Noxen, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Margaret Weaver Brown.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by United Pants, Plymouth and the garment industry throughout Wyoming Valley, as a seamstress. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Throughout her life, she loved dancing and listening to music. Her pet dog, Tiny, was one of her greatest joys.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Amos (Blackie), and Leonard (Red) Brown; sister, Betty Campbell; 1st husband, Earl Goss.

Surviving are her 5 children, Leon Goss and his wife, Nana, of Edwardsville, Peggy Goss, of Edwardsville, Nancy Waltich and her husband, George, of Sugar Notch, Donna Williamson and her husband, Michael, of Wilkes Barre, and Carol Ritts and her husband, Sam, of Edwardsville; 8 grandchildren, Brian and Michael Goss, Tommy Andrasko, Tammy Budurka, April Smith, Charles (Bubba) William, Linda Russell, and Renell Mooney; 8 great-grandchildren, twins, Olivia and Kyle, Amanda and Ryan, Stephanie and John, Ahleah and Addison, Kenneth and Natalee; 7 great-great-grandchildren, Olivia and Joshua, Mariah, Nevaeh and Narrisa, and Loralie and Alexis; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the S.J.Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth. Private interment will be held at Bethel Hill Cemetery.
