| I was just informed and I'm in complete shock. Steve and I were best friends for so long. We met when he was living in Medford, before he went to the CSOB. When he headed back to NJ, he would call me and my mom on Mother's Day and our birthdays, spend a couple of days with us whenever he was out here to cover the Marathon or another event for the O&A show, but we lost touch over the last couple of years and I wish that hadn't happened, but I'm thrilled he met somebody who made him happy and was able to have the son he always wanted. We loved him so much!! |

| I worked for Alice & Tom for about 16 years. I knew Stephen since he was a little boy and even took him to get his driver\'s license. My heart goes out to Tom & Alice as well as MJ and Xavier. Stephen and I got back and touch through Facebook and just from those small exchanges could feel his love for his family. RIP. |

7/17/2012 7:17AM Steve C Maine, |
| The O & A show came into my life shortly after the death of my mother. Steve helped me laugh again. He was funny and was happy to be the punching bag when it was for the good of the show. He helped me come back from a bad time in my life, and for that I am forever grateful. |

| To the family of Steve Carlesi - He was an awful voice actor and a mediocre musician.. I know, that's terrible, I'm sorry... but he was an excellent show producer for the Opie and Anthony show with a great sense of humor and was dedicated to a loyal fan base who loved him dearly. He played a straight man, a fool, and sometimes a punching bag for the Opie and Anthony show.. he was at the heart of it all and his talent and voice will be missed and remembered. Grrrr. |

| I wish to send my deepest condolences to Steve's family & friends. I wish I could say that I was a friend or close associate, but I am merely an O&A fan who communicated with him through FaceBook a few times. As I recall all of the funny & wildly creative things Steve is connected to, it makes me glad that we can still listen to him & know that we can always remember that he brought us endless hours of laughter, entertainment & sheer joy. His love of his wife Mj & his beautiful son Xander are plainly clear for all to see. He wanted nothing but the best for them & tried so very hard to provide all the things they might want on top of what was needed. We may never understand why he left this life so soon, but we can all understand that he loved his family & friends deeply. He took pride in the things he did & helped many people he didn't even know. I can only hope that he will forever be remembered with love, laughter & kindness as those are the things he gave to all while he was here. |

My deepest sympathies to MJ and Xander on this sad occasion. I never had the good fortune to meet them, but I join them in mourning the loss of Steve. I knew him while he was working for Opie and Anthony as well as at BU where we were friendly. Steve was an amazingly funny guy who worked hard, but always seemed to have a smile on his face. I even had the distinct pleasure of writing and recording a demo with Steve for a radio show that we pitched to Sirius several years ago. I apologize for not being able to pay my respects in person, but just wanted to say that I am thinking of you all during this difficult time.

In addition to being very talented, smart and funny, I'll remember he always had a big heart and an acute sensitivity to the feelings of others. He will be missed dearly by those fortunate enough to have felt his influence in the world. |

I always thought Steve was indestructible. One thing - his love for his baby boy Xander and adoring wife, Mary Jo, IS. One of the biggest hearts and best senses of humor may have left the planet, but not our hearts. Rest in peace, Steve. I know you're already making G-d laugh...they way anyone who knew you ever did.

7/14/2012 9:01AM Rondo Hunter Jacksonville, FL, USA |
I remember Steve from his days with the O&A show. Though I did not know him personally, his work, humor and talent were of the utmost quality and did show. He made that show what is was, the best at that time. The butt of many jokes - as is any employ of the guys - he took them all in stride with generous good humor. For he knew that his contributions were what made that show what it was, and his absence was sorely missed.
When I think back with fondness at his days with the O&A show I laugh to myself at the skits he produced and performed in. A true showman, a talent, and a gentleman to be missed. Sorry to see you go Steve, it\'s just too soon my friend.
My deepest and most sincere sympathies to the family. -- Rondo, just a listener. |
